"No Support at All and No Response to My Refund Requests - Avoid This Company!"
Every time I try to use their live chat, it’s a letdown since there’s no real support to be found. They just depend on a ticket system, which hasn’t given me any answers. I’ve faced some tech problems and even though I reached out for help, I got nothing back. Out of frustration, I put in a ticket for a refund during the 30-day guarantee, but still, no word from them. Honestly, I’d recommend staying away from this company unless you’re okay with possibly losing your cash.

"Avoid this subscription like the plague!"
The service from this company is just plain awful. They grab your cash but don’t provide any help for three whole months, which makes getting a refund a real challenge. It’s clear this company is a scam, delivering nothing but terrible service.

"Honestly, I'd rate this place zero stars if I could."
If there was a way to give this product a zero, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Recently, I lodged a complaint with Consumer Complaints in Australia.

I've shot off several emails to the support crew about my choice to not renew my subscription. The first message I sent got a reply from a support rep before the renewal date. Still, I ended up getting charged and my subscription was renewed anyway. I get that errors can occur, but this whole situation has been downright absurd since I haven’t heard back when asking for a refund. Just last week, I let them know I’d be filing a formal complaint, yet still no word from them. So, I went ahead and filed that complaint and I’m planning to take this further.

I also put in two more support requests (#2021187 and #2021188) to check on this issue, but no help or resolution has come my way.

"Avoid This Service at All Costs"
While I was overseas, I signed up for this service and ran into issues trying to access my work's site. Like a lot of free trials, it asked for my payment details for when the trial ended. I connected it to my PayPal and tried to move forward, but after about 15 minutes, I figured it just wasn’t worth the hassle. In my account settings, I found a button to 'delete account,' which I clicked, thinking it would also wipe my payment info. To my shock, a week later, I got hit with an $85 charge for a yearly subscription, even though I couldn’t access the account I set up.

I quickly shot off an email asking for a refund, but they told me they had to pass it on to the manufacturer, which would take around 5 business days. Sadly, I didn’t hear back from either side, even after I followed up.

The next thing I knew, they reached out because they saw I was disputing the charge on PayPal and asked me to cancel it. I explained my situation again to the customer service rep, but after a few days, still no word. PayPal also turned down my refund request, saying 'the charge was processed correctly.' It’s not about the amount; it’s that it came from a deleted account.

Then, I got an email asking me to rate my customer service experience. Naturally, I gave them a bad review, and only then did I get a response from the same rep, who expressed regret and offered help. But when I replied, they went silent again.

I reached out to customer service via their contact page, attaching screenshots of all my previous messages and concerns. The reply I got was, 'I’d be happy to help, but can I ask why you want a refund?' Seriously, Mihailo? If you had actually READ my complaint, you’d know. It’s been a few days since I replied, and once again, crickets.

Right now, I’m working with my bank to get my money back and looking into every option to make sure no one else gets scammed by this awful service. I wish I had done more digging before signing up, but a buddy recommended it, and I usually trust their take on tech stuff. Unfortunately, I didn’t play it safe this time.

So, take my advice: steer clear of this service. I’ve learned a lot from this mess, and I hope to save others from the same headache. There’s something really fishy about this website and service, and you’ll probably regret getting involved. The 30-day money-back guarantee they keep bragging about in their customer service replies is a total joke, as they ignore your requests every single time.

"No Way to Cancel Subscription"
I can only repeat what a lot of folks have already mentioned. The support from customer service is just awful, and you can't cancel your subscription through them. The only way to stop the payments is to do it yourself.

"Support for Acquired Licenses is Nonexistent"
I'm having trouble with my licenses and have sent in multiple tickets about it, but I still haven't heard back! The support here is really lacking, taking a month or two to deal with a business issue. This kind of service just won't cut it. My request number is #2013844.

"No Way to Cancel My Subscription"
As others have pointed out, this company has a cancellation policy that’s pretty much non-existent, and they ignore any emails asking to cancel. I gave their service a shot with a trial, but right from the get-go, I knew it wasn’t for me. The info about the only possible cancellation option was super vague, saying something like 'you can cancel your account but your subscription will still be active' - even though I checked and it said I had no active subscriptions. To make sure my trial was stopped, I shot them an email the same day I signed up, asking for confirmation. Sadly, I got no reply, and a week later, I found out I was charged for a whole year’s subscription. They did get back to me once with a refund offer, but that was ages ago, and I haven’t heard from them since. I’ve asked Amex for a refund and reported this company to Trading Standards.

"This service is a total rip-off."
This service is a total rip-off. I can't seem to cancel my subscription because the unsubscribe option has vanished from my account. Even after sending three requests to them, I've heard nothing back, and they keep auto-renewing my subscription without my consent. To finally stop this mess, I had to go ahead and cancel my card.

"This company is a scam."
I've been using their product for several years now, and I've seen its quality drop each year. This time around, I wasn't planning on buying it again. But, to my shock, they charged my account automatically, likely because of some payment plan I didn't remember signing up for. I got in touch with them right after I noticed the charge, which was about 9 days later. At first, they told me I could get a refund since they have a 30-day money-back guarantee. Sadly, after that first reply, nothing happened. Even after reaching out to them a bunch of times, I've heard absolutely nothing back. It's pretty obvious they're just ignoring me. I'm honestly at a loss for words...

I purchased a three-year subscription, but I gotta tell ya, the service is super slow, clocking in at just 2 Mbps for downloads. To make matters worse, the customer support is just as sluggish. Seriously, don't waste your time and cash on this service.

I got myself a 3-year plan, but the system cut off my access after just one year. I paid the amount and tried to get in touch with them, but no one replied. I really need help figuring out how to contact them or if they’ve stopped their services altogether. Does anyone know of a reliable VPN alternative? I'm really let down.

"Hidemyass's guarantee is totally worthless."
They claim to have a 30-day money back guarantee, but trust me, getting a refund is a real hassle. Instead of sticking to their promise, they send you on a wild goose chase that's just plain frustrating. I waited 9 days for their sporadic replies, and then they had the nerve to tell me to call a number from a list of countries if my problem wasn’t sorted. Guess what? Denmark wasn’t even on that list! The only customer service experience that was worse than this was with a blacklisted airline from West Africa. I really wouldn’t recommend getting VPN services from Hidemyass.

"This VPN is totally a flop for Linux users."
It's super annoying that this VPN just doesn't work with Linux. Even though I pay monthly, I can't get a connection to save my life. The setup guides on their site always point me to missing *.ovpn files, which just gives me a 404 error. Plus, their customer support is either MIA or not helpful at all. I don't need them to babysit me, but how am I supposed to connect when the config files they send me to are nowhere to be found!

"Issues with Linux OpenVPN and Subscription Cancellation"
I've been using HMA for a long while, but now I can't connect with Linux OpenVPN because of an AUTH Error.

* The support team hasn’t replied to my questions.
Links in the HMA support section for Linux just don’t work (like the **** Download **** Linux link).

I can’t cancel my subscription since there’s no button for it, even though I paid with a credit card!!! Plus, I can’t change or manage my payment method in my account settings.

All in all, the website is really poorly set up and doesn’t work like the HMA tutorials say it should. There are a ton of broken links, especially in the Linux area. I’d be fine if I could just cancel my subscription!!!! There are loads of other options out there.

On top of that, I haven’t heard back from HMA about my cancellation requests through the contact form or email (other than the automated reply saying they’ll get back to me).

Avoid this service!!!
